ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
We are pleased to invite researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates from across the globe to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the 6th MENA Region Adolescent Health Conference.
This year’s theme, “From Challenges to Solutions: A Holistic Approach to Adolescents’ Well-Being,” highlights the urgent need for evidence-based interventions and scalable programs that support adolescent health, development, and well-being across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
We welcome abstracts that present innovative research, effective programs, or policy insights that contribute to improving adolescent health outcomes in both stable and humanitarian settings.
Conference Themes & Topics
We welcome abstracts addressing, but not limited to, the following topics: Adolescent Health in Emergencies – Addressing the unique health needs of adolescents affected by conflict/war, displacement, and humanitarian crises.
Health and Nutrition – Promoting adolescent nutrition, preventing malnutrition, and supporting healthy lifestyle behaviors.
Health-Promoting Schools – Integrating health education and services within schools to create supportive environments for adolescents.
Digital Technology and Adolescents – Exploring the impact of digital platforms on adolescent health, behavior, and well-being.
Sexual and Reproductive Health – Advancing education, access to services, and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
Risky Behaviors – Understanding and addressing substance use, violence, injury, and other health-compromising behaviors among adolescents.
Mental Health and Psychosocial Well-Being – Promoting mental health, addressing anxiety and depression, and fostering resilience among youth.
Youth Participation in Policy, Governance, and Community Development – Empowering adolescents as active agents in shaping health policies, governance structures, and community initiatives.
Submission Guidelines
We welcome the submission of abstracts that align with the conference themes and topics. Please follow the guidelines below:
- Abstracts must be directly related to one of the conference themes.
- All submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and selected for either oral or poster presentation.
- Abstracts must be written in English and should be within 300-400 words.
- Each submission must include the title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and contact information.
- The abstract should clearly outline the objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions of the work.
